Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, the Youth Pioneer Society organized its tenth anniversary, on Saturday, 03 September 2022, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, and a number of foreign ambassadors in the Kingdom, as well as senior officials in the public and private sectors.

In a speech during the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Social Development stressed that YPS’ ceremony represents an opportunity to review the successful experience of the organization, as a youth model to be followed in determination and insistence on shaping experiences and benefiting from the promising Bahraini energies and refining them with the cumulative experiences formed by various agencies and institutions, whether at the local or external levels. Pointing out that this could not have been achieved without the belief in the importance of the youth presence in the community arena, which was enshrined in light of the comprehensive development process that the Kingdom is witnessing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God preserve and preserve him, and with the implementation and close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and the prominent support of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for Bahraini youth.

The Minister of Social Development stated that Youth Pioneer Society was able, within a decade, to prove its presence in the youth arena, by creating a positive inspiring environment for youth and launching pioneering initiatives and projects that provide positive development for youth according to scientific methodologies and a realistic vision, highlighting the potentials and capabilities of Bahraini youth, and improving their skills and culture. In line with the accelerating changes in the world through the dissemination and application of knowledge.

The Minister expressed his sincere congratulations to Youth Pioneer Society on this occasion, calling for continued efforts in youth development, and building on what has been achieved, appreciating everyone who provided support to the NGO and all youth associations out of community partnership and sincere belief in the capabilities of Bahraini youth.

For her part, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of YPS, Amira Mahmoud, expressed her happiness that YPS’s celebration of the tenth anniversary coincides with the Bahraini Youth Year, which came under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God preserve and preserve him, in celebration of the youth and their successes, And in appreciation of the importance of the role of Bahraini youth in the process of prosperity and development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mahmoud emphasized that the Youth Leadership Association, since its inception, has dealt with many challenges and difficulties, which were fading away thanks to the commitment of all members of the association to a specific vision and a clear mission, which is to enable Bahraini youth to find better opportunities to contribute to the development of themselves and their country.

Mahmoud explained that the association was classified as the first non-governmental organization in Bahrain concerned with the professional development of young people, and it worked over these years according to strategies prepared very carefully to achieve its goals and vision, taking into account the needs of young people in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the aim of enabling them to exercise their leading role in society, noting The association was able to form partnerships with more than 70 governmental, private and civil institutions, to implement 7 development programs in multiple versions, and more than 19 events and specialized forums, from which nearly 5000 young men and women benefited, appreciating the direct and indirect support of all agencies and individuals for the association.

She stressed that the association’s celebration of ten years marks the beginning of a new chapter in the pioneering journey, in which the association will seek to strengthen its role in implementing specific programs and initiatives to complement previous programmes, such as the leadership program (Young Parliamentarian), the entrepreneurship program (Forsa) and the personal financial awareness program (Dinari). And the community program (Insta Marriage), and other new programs that will be announced soon.

Mahmoud expressed her great thanks and sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Social Development, which has provided the association with all support and guidance over the past ten years, indicating that its vital role had a great impact in achieving the association’s reputation and success today.

During the ceremony, the chairwoman of the association’s board of directors announced the launch of the new identity of the Youth Entrepreneurship Association, and the book (10 years of leadership), which documents the association’s work over the past decade. The former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Saud Al-Buainain, and the former Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bashar Fakhro, gave a presentation entitled (The Story of Leadership), during which they discussed the story of the association’s founding and its journey over a period of 10 years.

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, sponsor of the ceremony, honored a number of supporters of the association from various governmental, private and civil sectors, and personalities for their contribution to supporting the programs and events of the association.
